After a significant delay, Maryland Park School will finally welcome K-8 students and staff this coming January.
A Friday morning press release from the province made this news official, with Education Minister Kelvin Goertzen announcing the new 65,700-square-foot facility, located at 700 Maryland Avenue, is officially ready for occupancy and has the capacity to accommodate 450 pupils. This new school will help accommodate the growth the city of Brandon has seen over the last 20 years and alleviate pressures on other kindergarten to Grade 8 schools across the city, Goertzen said in Friday’s release.
