Penmac Staffing has more than 400 open jobs in the Springfield area, prompting the company to open two new offices.
The goal is to make it as easy as possible for job-seekers to apply and interview for the positions.
The new Springfield location is inside the Missouri Job Center, 2900 E. Sunshine St. The second location is in Republic at 618 E. Elm St.
A ribbon-cutting for the Republic office is scheduled for noon May 6 and the public is invited to attend. It will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays.
“Employers throughout the country are in need of workers, and especially in the Springfield area, there are excellent jobs available, said Tim Massey, Penmac CEO, in a news release. In some cases, we’ve seen local starting wages increase by 30 percent in the last year, so now is a great time to make a career move.
