Call to readers: Seeking the stories of those who have died of COVID-19 in Kitsap Kimberly Rubenstein, Kitsap Sun © MEEGAN M. REID / KITSAP SUN Sarah Milne with a portrait of her Great Aunt Rosita at Silverdale Waterfront Park on Wednesday, August 12, 2020. Earl Sincere, 64, was a Navy veteran who spent two decades after his retirement coaching youth runners and supporting Kitsap s youth through various athletic training programs. Joanne Hunter, 80, was known for helping others, volunteering for the Peninsula Council of the Blind and giving away many a crocheted shawl or blanket. In a pandemic where many are feeling a sense of loss, the greatest losses are members of the Kitsap community who are no longer with us because they ve died from the virus: residents like Sincere and Hunter.
