Datuk Lee Chong Wei has stepped up to openly express his disappointment that some Malaysians have verbally abused the Badminton mixed doubles team representing the country at the Tokyo Olympics 2021.
Chan Peng Soon and Goh Liu Ying had lost both their matches, once against Hong Kong with 18-21, 21-10, 16-21; and later on, to Germany with 12-21, 15-21. As a result, the pair will be making an early exit out of the Olympic games this year.
Chan Peng Soon and Goh Liu Ying are the country’s top mixed doubles team, ranked #7 in the world.
