THE owner of nine puppies who were stolen from a house still hopes she will get the remaining seven back after she was reunited with two of them. Corrie Mullaney was left devastated after thieves smashed a window and broke into her house in Shadsworth in the early hours of March 3 and stole the then three-week-old Staffordshire Bull terrier pups. The 21-year-old who works at Studio Express Gifts in Accrington, has spoken about her relief when officers contacted her last week to say that two of the puppies had been found. She said: I have got good hopes that I will be able to get them back.

Police snatch burglary suspect who ordered a taxi to make getaway to Bradford A burglary suspect who hailed a taxi in a bid to make an escape was arrested by police after a tip-off from the driver. Thursday, 11th February 2021, 3:19 pm In the early hours of this morning police were called to reports of a burglary in the Colne Road area of Trawden in which keys were taken for a number of vehicles, including a white Fiat 500. Officers were later called to reports the same Fiat 500 had crashed into a stationary Lexus in Winewall. Response officers, tactical operation officers, the police dog unit and the police helicopter were all sent to the area and scoured Ball Grove Park and fields in the direction the suspects were seen to leave towards.

A MAN was arrested getting into a taxi to Bradford after vehicle keys and a car were stolen. Police were called to Colne Road, Trawden, in the early hours of yesterday to reports of a burglary after keys for vehicles, including a white Fiat 500, were stolen. Later, the same white Fiat 500 was later reported to have crashed into a parked Lexus in Winewall. The suspect fled and police dog Zorro and his handler tracked miles across snowy fields in the search, which went towards Colne Road, when an officer was stopped by a taxi driver who enquired if he was the man who had ordered a taxi going to Bradford.
