Pembroke’s Operations Committee has given the green light to proceed with allowing motorized recreational vehicle use of the Algonquin Trail through the city.

Pembroke’s Operations Committee has approved a parking lot layout for Victoria Hall and The Grind.
The approved layout features five parking spaces for The Grind, 15 parking spaces for the 50+ Active Living Centre, four barrier-free parking spaces, one 10-minute drop off zone and seven public parking spaces without metres with a maximum enforceable two-hour limit.

Also of note, eight of the public spaces including one barrier free space on Victoria Street have been changed because of the recent Victoria Street reconstruction project. There are now five parking spaces and three barrier free spaces at Victoria Street and Renfrew Street.
