Russellville Indians baseball rode a six-game winning streak into their Thursday night contest against the defending Class 1 state champion St. Elizabeth Hornets. St. Elizabeth took Russellville into extra innings and came on top 5-4 in eight innings.

Jays top Cougars in first game at new home facility

It was a night of many firsts Thursday for Jefferson City High School. The first baseball game on campus in school history, the first home run hit on the new field and the first win at the new field for the Jays as they beat the Lutheran: St. Charles Cougars 9-1 to open the Jays Baseball Classic.

Jays get past Pembroke Hill in Class 5 third-place game

It is not very often a team gets to end its basketball season with a win. While it was not in the game the Jefferson City Jays wanted to be in Saturday, the Jays concluded their season with a 79-76 victory against the Pembroke Hill Raiders at Great Southern Bank Arena to grab third place in Class 5.
