Pelosi s Capitol Police bill gaslights America

https://www.afinalwarning.com/507602.html (Natural News) Democrats have solidified their effort to act as an Orwellian Ministry of Truth with the passage of Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s H.R. 1085 in the House of Representatives. This bill rewrites the historical facts from Jan. 6 under the guise of “honoring” the U.S. Capitol Police (USCP) who bravely protect Congress. (Article by Louie Gohmert republished from TheEpochTimes.com) Pelosi’s goal, of course, isn’t to show respect and admiration to the Capitol Police which would be particularly ironic coming from the “defund the police” party but to perpetuate a false narrative that 74-plus million Americans are dangerous racists and insurrectionists who have no part in civilized society.

Democrats revive debate over calling impeachment witnesses

By Jordain Carney - 02/13/21 09:37 AM EST   Democrats are reviving a debate over whether to call witnesses for the impeachment trial against former President Trump Neither House impeachment managers nor Trump s legal team had formally closed the door to calling witnesses, but senators on both sides of the aisle expected they wouldn t and that the trial would wrap up on Saturday. But some Democrats are now endorsing the idea in the wake of new details about conversations then-President Trump had with Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Ala.) and House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy ADVERTISEMENT The House Managers should ask for witnesses to be called, including anyone who communicated with Donald Trump or have direct knowledge of his actions and state of mind while he was in the White House after the Capitol was breached and while the attempted coup was ongoing, Sen. Ed Markey

Liberals howl after Democrats cave on witnesses

By Mike Lillis - 02/13/21 04:36 PM EST   Liberals on and off Capitol Hill are up in arms after Democratic impeachment managers abandoned their effort to compel new witness testimony in the trial accusing former President Trump The progressive critics contend that Democratic prosecutors, by accepting a deal to exclude those witnesses and wrap up the trial, missed a unique opportunity to highlight Trump s involvement in the assault, particularly his refusal to defuse the violence after it had begun. They aren t mincing words. ADVERTISEMENT This is retreat. White flag. Malpractice. Completely unstrategic. They just closed the door on others who may have stepped out, as @HerreraBeutler urged last night, Adam Green, who heads the Progressive Change Campaign Committee, said on Twitter, referring to Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler

Pressure grows on Trump to leave

The president is increasingly isolated. He has been abandoned by his allies and has few defenders, as administration officials resign in disgust and blame the president for inciting the deadly riot. Most Republicans may be content with Trump riding out the final 12 days of his administration. There appears to be minimal GOP support for impeachment, and efforts to oust him through the 25th Amendment have stalled. Trump also seems unlikely to resign on his own. One source close to the president flatly rejected the prospect of Trump resigning before Jan. 20.  Biden on Friday indicated that there is such little time left that the best option may just be to ride it out.

Democrats vow to deliver $2K checks with control of Senate

“As Senators-elect Warnock and Ossoff have rightly pointed out, a Democratic Senate means that families across the nation will receive $2000 survival checks,” Congressional Progressive Caucus Chairwoman Pramila Jayapal Biden on Wednesday reiterated his desire to pass additional coronavirus relief legislation. “We need urgent action on what comes next, because the COVID-19 crisis hits red states and blue states alike,” he said in a statement. In addition to Biden and Schumer, Speaker Nancy Pelosi ADVERTISEMENT The commitment on direct payments from the three top Democrats signals near-term action on legislation is likely to be a priority, said Todd Metcalf, a principal in the tax policy services group at PwC who previously served as chief tax counsel for Democrats on the Senate Finance Committee.
