He suffered a left thigh contusion four minutes into the game. The Nets superstar sustained the injury off a drive when he banged bodies with Trevor Ariza. Ariza’s knee made contact with Durant’s thigh. Durant immediately was favoring his left thigh and was walking gingerly for a couple of possessions before Brooklyn called timeout and eventually pulled him from the contest. The injury was on the same leg where KD hurt his hamstring, an injury that cost him 24 games. Steve Nash said post-game he didn’t know the severity, noting he’s sore and will be further evaluated Monday morning.
