Even if Punxsutawney Phil isn’t right about an early spring, we’re grateful if his prediction simply prompted the warm weather for the Butler Carved in Ice festival Friday and Saturday at Diamond Park.
Diamond Park in Butler will showcase a mix of animals, vehicles and a giant slide all made of frozen water this weekend.
The eighth annual Carved in Ice event will take place from 5 to 8 p.m. Frida.
The process of sculpting the ice displayed at Butler’s Carved In Ice on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 9 and 10, requires the artist to envision their goal and eliminate any ice that isn’t needed.
