The Flower Nook at 208 E. Iron Ave. in downtown Salina gives much of its display space to area creatives in the forms of arts and crafts for sale. For the past couple of years, men from the Ellsworth Correctional Facility (ECF) and their Right Track Foundation have been exhibiting their crafts.
Right Track assists those re-entering society from prison by providing them with the skills, education, faith, confidence and self worth to get on the right track.
The partnership developed over numerous conversations between the Flower Nook’s Peggy DeBey and Chaplain Dale Bailey from ECF. The inmates also have a store for their wares at the prison.
