Apple has sued Israeli firm NSO Group - the developers of the Pegasus spyware allegedly used by governments around the world, including India to snoop on private correspondence of tens of thousands of journalists, activists and others.
Apple on Tuesday sued the Israeli spyware maker at the center of the Pegasus surveillance scandal, seeking to block NSO Group from targeting the over one billion iPhones in circulation.
More than 100 lawyers, some of whom are members of the Supreme Court Bar Association, have filed an application before top court seeking resumption of full physical hearings.
The Supreme Court berated the Central government for raising the argument of national security, stating that it cannot be an omnibus argument to gain a free pass every time the Court exercises judicial review.
