The province’s Special Investigations Unit is investigating after a man was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries following an interaction with police in Brampton on Thursday.
Peel Regional Police responded to reports of gunshots being heard inside a residential building in the area of Charolais Blvd. and McMurchy Ave. S. at about 4:10 p.m.

There was a large police presence at the scene and one person was transported to hospital by the Peel Regional Paramedic Service.
