U.S. Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross announced on Dec. 16 the federal agency would make available to South Carolina $3 million in Coronavirus Aid, Recovery and Economic Security (CARES) Act grant funding to help the state’s tourism industry recover from the COVID-19 pandemic.
“President Trump is working diligently every day to support our nation’s economy following the impacts of COVID-19 through the CARES Act,” Ross said on the
U.S. Economic Development (EDA) web page. “This investment will provide the resources that South Carolina’s tourism industry needs to rebound from the coronavirus pandemic and, in turn, create a stronger and more resilient state economy for the future.”
