Dr. John B. Shirley passed away on Dec. 22, 2021, in Livermore, California at the age of 97 years, surrounded by family and his faithful care companion.
“Conversation Pieces,” a free, outdoor exhibit of six hand-painted banners created by Tri-Valley youths, will open at the Bankhead Theater Plaza in Livermore on Sunday, Oct. 17.
An invitational youth exhibit titled Conversation Pieces brought together young artists from throughout the Tri-Valley to collaborate on a series of hand-painted banners, including student members of the Tri-Valley Writers group.
