Construction is already underway for Mount Martha’s new footpath on Harrap Road.
The footpath will be approximately 1.5km, running along the north side of the road starting at Dunns Road roundabout and linking to an existing path down Harrap Road.
The path is being made with 1383 sqm of PolyRok. PolyRok is a recycled plastic product which is an alternative to mineral aggregate in concrete to minimise impacts on the environment.
The Shire has secured $600,000 for this project under the Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Grant Program.
The Shire’s Pedestrian Access Strategy aims to improve Peninsula pathways has identified Harrap Road as a key link in the Primary Pedestrian Network.
