Polling firm Cygnal surveyed 800 likely general election voters in Florida and found 60% believe DeSantis has done a good job navigating the state through the pandemic. That beats the 58% approval earned by the Joe Biden administration and the 49% approval for

Floridians arenât just fans of DeSantisâ plans; theyâre fans of the man himself, handing him a plus-17 job approval rating halfway through his first term. The media, which has taken to thrashing DeSantis a few times in recent weeks, earned a minus-14 approval rating from the same set of voters.

Henderson County residents looked out their windows on the first day of spring 1996 to see a scene that looked more like the winter solstice.
It wasn’t this area’s latest snowstorm of the year. Since the National Weather Service began keeping records in Evansville in 1948 that would be the one that hit April 6, 1971. And it certainly wasn’t the hardest hitting. There are about 15 that recorded deeper accumulations of snow.
The most snow Henderson County has gotten in one day was 14 inches on Dec. 8, 1917. But the most over two days was 16 inches on Jan. 17 and 18, 1978, which was a full-scale blizzard, according to the National Weather Service.
Derek Bond has never known a year like it. But the man with his hands on Dundee United’s purse strings believes that, with the continued support of fans, normal business could soon resume at Tannadice.
