A Wick medical practice is hoping to administer an initial Covid-19 vaccine to most of its patients aged 80-plus over the next two days.
The Pearson Practice at Wick Medical Centre received 260 doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine on Wednesday afternoon and immediately began putting appointment slots in place.

Health bosses say they are pleased with the roll-out of the coronavirus vaccination programme in the Highlands.
A Caithness GP has reiterated that there can only be a return to normal life if as many people as possible accept a Covid-19 vaccine when it is offered.
Dr Ewen Pearson, of the Pearson Practice in Wick, emphasised that there are no serious side-effects from the jab and said staff were absolutely 100 per cent ready to go with the roll-out.

Around 400 patients were given Pfizer vaccinations at the first local clinic which was held in the games hall at Thurso High School on Saturday.
The first patient was former Rolls-Royce worker Pete Rodgers who encouraged others to take up the opportunity.
Describing the clinic as hugely successful , Dr Alison Brooks, of the Thurso and Halkirk Medical Practice, said: With my practice manager, Christine Tait, at the helm, and her very able team, the event was organised with professionalism and precision. Christine had thought of everything from access to parking and everything ran like clockwork.
