BRIDGEPORT Eugene “EJ” McKnight was identified as a suspect in a recent shooting on the Route 25/8 Connector, in part thanks to technology, police said. BRIDGEPORT In a rare two-to-one decision, a three-judge panel found a local woman guilty of conspiring with two men to kill her husband in 2019.
“I’ve cried everyday since my son was killed but today, I can finally say justice was served,” said Tammy Pendergrass-Green, the mother of Dathan “Daedae” Gray.
Larise King, 36, showed no emotion as she sat at the defense table as the verdict was announced by Superior Court Judge Tracy Lee Dayton. Her family, who had sat in the back of the courtroom since the trial began last Tuesday, were quickly ushered out of the courthouse by judicial marshals.

BRIDGEPORT The state’s first criminal trial since the pandemic shut down criminal trials in March 2020 appeared to get off without a hitch Tuesday.

Superior Court Judge Earl Richards, the presiding judge on the panel, opened the trial by going over the precautions that were in place to ensure the safety of participants.
