The caller said the missing gasoline was valued at more than $100, according to a dispatch report. Also, two employee thefts were reported by Detroit Lakes businesses since Monday.
An intoxicated man threw a pumpkin through the window of a residence causing minor injuries to the caller from shattered glass, according to a Becker County emergency dispatch report. The suspect fled the scene on foot before law enforcement arrived. While police were talking to the caller, a 30-year-old Red Lake man returned to the residence and was arrested.
On Thursday, Feb. 10 at 10:45 a.m., a 41-year-old Waubun woman reportedly broke into a residence and pistol whipped a 26-year-old Ogema man. She accused the man of stealing a speaker and proceeded to damage his television. No medical transport was needed and the case is under investigation. Also, on Saturday, Feb. 12 at 5:06 p.m., near the intersection of Washington Avenue and Highway 10 in Detroit Lakes, a possible road rage incident occurred. Two vehicles pulled off the road, both drivers exited their vehicles and began fighting. The men were rolling on the ground and one man suffered a cut on their head and a possible shoulder injury. One party left the scene before law enforcement arrived and a 40-year-old man was arrested for possible DWI.
On Monday, Dec. 20 at 5:30 a.m., on the 13000 block of east Pearl Lake Road, Detroit Lakes, a vehicle left the roadway. While attempting to push the vehicle back onto the roadway, a 31-year-old woman was injured after slipping and having the vehicle run over her leg. She was transported to a nearby medical clinic for treatment. Also, on Tuesday, Dec. 21 at 1:12 a.m., near the intersection of Highway 10 and County Road 1, Lake Park, an officer involved pursuit occurred. A white Chevy Trailblazer with a trailer attachment was eastbound on Highway 10. Officers believed the trailer to be stolen and attempted to pull the vehicle over. The SUV driver refused to yield. Officers deployed spike strips, which forced the driver to stop the vehicle. No injuries were reported. A 41-year-old man and a 37-year-old man were detained in the incident.
