The break-in happened at an address on Pear Tree Grove, Tyldesley on Wednesday, December 9. A 95-year-old woman was inside the address and a number of items of jewellery and cash were taken. Police say one of these items holds significant sentimental value to the victim as it is her engagement ring. Greater Manchester Police said: The ring is from Beaverbrooks in gold. It has a bar on the front with three small diamond circular chips in it and has the engraving LUCKY STAR on the inside of the band. Unfortunately no photographs of this ring exist at this time.
