Peace River School Division (PRSD) has welcomed as of Feb. 1 Jessica Whelan as Divisional Literacy Coordinator. Whelan had previously been a teacher at E.E. Oliver Elementary School in Fairview and is excited about her new role at PRSD. Whelan has always enjoyed reading and writing and hopes to bring excitement about literacy to this role and to the students within PRSD.
Whelan grew up in Fairview and attended both E.E.Oliver Elementary School and Fairview High School. Whelan then completed her Bachelor of Education degree through Grande Prairie Regional College in 2009.
