LONDON: A Middle Eastern Islamic country arranged former prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s meeting with Afghan National Security Adviser (NSA) Hamdullah Mohib, according to a trusted source.
The News has learnt from the credible source that a diplomat from the Middle Eastern Arab country spoke to Sharif and floated the idea of meeting the Afghan NSA during his London visit to meet the UK’s political and military leadership besides meeting with politicians and ambassadors from several countries.
After pictures of the meeting were released to the media by the Afghan National Security Council, ministers of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) attacked Sharif for holding talks with Mohib.

PML-N Vice-President Maryam Nawaz has said that it is the very essence of diplomacy to talk to everyone, listen to their point of view and convey one’s own message across.
Maryam Nawaz was responding to comments regarding the meeting of PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif with Afghan National Security Adviser Hamdullah Mohib and State Minister for Peace Sayed Sadat Naderi in London.
In a tweet on Saturday, Maryam Nawaz said, “Meeting everyone is something this (PTI) government doesn’t comprehend and hence is a complete failure on the international front.”

LONDON/ISLAMABAD: Government ministers were furious on Saturday after tweets emerged of a meeting between former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and Afghan officials, among whom were National Security Adviser Hamdullah Mohib whose remarks against Pakistan prompted a pushback from the Foreign Office.
Afghan NSA Mohib and State Minister for Peace Sayed Sadat Naderi called on Sharif, who has been in London since November 2019. The National Security Council of Afghanistan (NSCA) tweeted about the meeting on Saturday, saying the Afghan state minister for peace and NSA discussed “matters of mutual interest” with Sharif.

LONDON/ISLAMABAD: In a development that has sent shockwaves across Pakistan, the London-based PML-N leader met Saturday Afghan National Security Adviser (NSA) Hamdullah Mohib and State Minister for Peace Sayed Sadat Naderi.
The National Security Council of Afghanistan (NSCA) gave an update about the meeting on Twitter, saying that the Afghan state minister for peace and the national security adviser discussed matters of mutual interest with the former Pakistan prime minister. Officials on both sides agreed that they would both benefit from the policy of mutual respect and non-interference in each other s internal affairs, the NSCA was quoted as saying by Indian news agency ANI.
