The Black Lives Matter (BLM) organization said Monday it stands in “solidarity with Palestinians,” adding it is working to end “settler colonialism.”
“We are a movement committed to ending settler colonialism in all forms and will continue to advocate for Palestinian liberation. ( always have. And always will be ). #freepalestine,” the organization wrote in a post on Twitter:

The statement came after Rep. Cori Bush (D-MO) praised a BLM activist who reportedly called for the “death” of police officers in 2014 during a speech on the House floor last week, Breitbart News reported:

White House press secretary Jen Psaki fell face-first into foolishness when she attempted to downplay former President Donald Trump’s progress with working towards peace in the Middle East. During a recent conversation with reporters, the press secretary attempted to demean the peace deals the U.S. helped to broker between Israel and Arab nations under the former president.
During a Tuesday trip to Michigan on Air Force One, Psaki said: “Aside from putting forward a peace proposal that was dead on arrival, we don’t think they did anything constructive really to bring an end to the long-term conflict in the Middle East.”

President Joe Biden said Thursday that he does not think Israel has overreacted in its response to massive rocket fire from Gaza.
“One of the things I’ve seen thus far is that there has not been a significant overreaction [by Israel],” he said during a press conference.
“The question is how they get to a point where there is a significant reduction in the attacks, particularly the rocket attacks that are indiscriminately fired into population centers, but I expect that I’ll be having some more discussions,” Biden added.
He also noted that his administration is in frequent contact with Israel, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and others about finding an end to the violence.
President Biden on Wednesday spoke with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to reaffirm U.S. support for Israel after a night of bloodshed with civilians in Tel Aviv sheltering from Hamas rockets.
