now the crisis in the middle east there is word hamas proposed a decades long peace meal. peace for a solid decade. we promise it right now. it will ends rocket attacks in the holly land, only if the israelis meet all of hamas demands. that s according to es ral s channel 2 network. there were lots of international media there. a crew from nbc was there. the uncle of those palestinian boys is calling it a cold blooded pass kerr. the israeli military reports it s investigating. israel launched new airstrikes on hamas targets and homes of the group s leaders. hamas has agreed to fire into israel unless and until it gets a cease-fire deal. israel s can el 2 news is reporting hamas is spelling out those demands in its own proposal for a truce. remember hamas wasn t even consulted on the israeli and the
problem with health care. we get more from cnn s brianna keilar. reporter: the impasse in congress is no closer to being vee solved this morning. the motion to table is agreed to. reporter: with nearly 800,000 federal employees off their jobs for a second day, president obama is blaming tea party republicans for shutting down the government over their objections to obama care. they demanded ransom just for doing their job. reporter: he s urging congress to act. allow the public servants who have been sent home to return to work. reporter: tuesday night, house republicans tried to fund the government peace meal, starting with veterans, national parks and the city of washington, d.c. we re ready to talk. and they have rejected that. and we have to send that back every day. reporter: their first attempt failed. most democrats voting no. this is a waste of time. it s not going anyplace. reporter: what s worst, we re about to hit the debt ceiling.
