Hanoi (VNA) – The
People’s Court of Hanoi on
April 22 resumed a trial for ex-minister of industry and trade Vu Huy
Hoang who involves in the cases of “violating regulations on the
management and use of State assets, causing losses and wastefulness,” and “violating
regulations on land management” that occurred in the Ministry of Industry and
Trade (MoIT) and Ho Chi Minh City.
Being brought to the court were also former director of the MoIT’s
Light Industry Department
Phan Chi Dung;
former Vice Chairman of the HCM City People’s Committee Nguyen Huu Tin; former deputy director of the HCM City Department

Hanoi (VNA) – Four Vietnamese universities have
been listed in the
Impact Rankings 2021 by Times Higher Education (THE), the
only global performance tables that assess universities against the United
Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The four facilities are Vietnam National University-Hanoi,
which is ranked at number 401-600, Ton Duc Thang University (401-600), Hanoi
University of Science and Technology (601-800), and Phenikaa University
(801-1000).
All the universities received high rankings for achievements
relating to SDG 8 - decent work and
economic growth. Only Vietnam National University-Hanoi is placed in high
position for criterion SGD 4 – quality education with 71.4 points, ranking 92nd

Phu Tho (VNA) – An incense offering ceremony was held at the Hung
Kings Temple Relic Site on Nghia Linh Mountain in the northern midland province of Phu
Tho on April 21 to commemorate the national founders, the Hung Kings.
Attending the ceremony, State President Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Party and State officials,
and leaders of Phu Tho province offered incense and flowers in tribute to the
Hung Kings, praying for the nation’s peace and prosperity.
