Donna Earlene Howard

Donna Earlene Howard, 76, prominent peace activist and homeless advocate of Duluth passed away July 31, 2022. Donna was a beloved mother, sister, aunt, friend, mentor, and a moral compass for those around her. Donna was born on July 3, 1946 to loving parents Earl and Charlotte Howard in Ames, Iowa. On the day of her birth, her proud big sister, Sally, announced to the neighborhood that the world was about to change, “I have a little sister! Donna’s here!” Donna’s childhood was full of love, action, energy, and adventure. She and Sally were best friends playing, hiking, camping, and founding the Daredevils Club, as Donna was known to climb trees and jump off breezeways. As the daughter of a pilot, she enjoyed traveling around the country from a young age, seeing the world from the air.
