the goals there of the women s march. women are shy of representing 20%. look at time magazine highlighting last year s participants in the women s march who are now running for office. amy is an activist and co-chair of women vote trump is with me to talk about the movement. first of all, your reaction to the fact that really at the end of the day last year s election some of the things president trump did that women do not support have propelled them into this movement to become part of the process now. i think it s good that women are involved. honestly, this is something i ve said a long time. you look back at the pea party movement where i got my start in politics it was more women. it s not that i agree with every woman out there in her policy and you have to have good policy.
no, paul ryan doesn t speak for the republican party, michele bachmann does. how can the republican party speak to the public if it is riven by this sort of internal conflict? well, it s not an internal conflict, number one. controversial? who me? i was not controversial. but the reality of it is the party has emerged on a bigger stage now. when you take where we were two years ago, two and a half years ago, party out of power, no real connection with the american people, we reestablished that connection, largely due to the strength of the pea party movement in the country which was born out of its frustration with government and the obama administration and the direction the country was going. so i think both those voices are going to be important for the nation to hear. michelle s and paul. paul represents the policy that the leadership is going to be moving forward and addressing the obama agenda. and i believe michele represents the grassroots voice within the party that wants to
two years and we have given certainty to individuals and business for the next two years. and then repeal obama care. let the president veto it and let the senate democrats decide whether they want to pass it or not. joe mansion going to vote to sustain obama care. chris: but you need 60 votes. let the democrats who have a majority in the senate filibuster. that is a good thing to happy early in the congress. i think they slightly underestimate the force of the pea party movement. still a lit bit of they will get to learn the ropes here. the tea party movement is a big deal. it is not diminishing or going away and needs to be taken seriously by republican leadership here in washington. chris: let me pick up with you on that juan. i was surprised that air rake cantor would say okay, forget
