Payson schools continue to improve school security in the wake of a national rash of school shootings – but it’s a slow and costly process, according to Superintendent Linda Gibson.
The Payson Police Department announced Canine Officer Corso and his sidekick partner Officer Kody Anderson received a “sizable donation” from the Payson Lions Club on March 22.
The Payson Lions Club donated more than $13,000 March 22 to several organizations, plus special Lions programs that help meet needs in Payson and beyond.
Longtime Bear Flat residents Phon, 85, and Dara, 72, Sutton drowned March 22 after the flooded Tonto Creek swept their pickup truck off the crossing outside their community near Thompson
