now forgotten. who approves 52 million in cash to go to afghanistan which ends up in dubai? unbelievable. this country is in such trouble. we have leaders that don t have any chew as to what is happening. or any clue as to what is happening, maybe they do have a clue that makes it worse. greta: the president s jobs act. the report is about the 450 billion, now we ve gone from millions to billions. 400 billion will come from reducing the ability to take charitable deductions. if you give to charity you will lose that over a certain income level. many say will discourage people if giving to charity, hospitals, people starving, schools or whatever. that s the first thing. second payroll tax deduction eliminating that. how do you play with these numbers? what does this mean?

we re not going to take 62 billion dollars in increasing entitlement spending going forward. yet, there are parts you re out of your ever-loving mind if you think they re going to vote down payroll tax. i want to talk about what will republicans pass in the house? what can they pass or what should they pass? i think you ve seen some in leadership, not the speaker necessarily, but some others, lean forward on payroll tax deduction, as well as extension of unemployment benefits. and are still talking about what are we going to do with the nation s crumbling infrastructure. eric, what about trade agreements, would that be a help? are they going to act on this? why would they the white house has it s a big plan, is this the big job creation, 14 million people are out of work and they re going to come back with patents and trade reports? come on, guys, look, bob, when you tax cigarettes more, what happens to smoking? consumption goes down. no, it doesn t.

they know the american people are fed up with discord and partisan bickering and they are fed up with inaction. the president laid a great case. if he was trial lawyer, the jury would have voted in his favor in ten seconds. he said, the american people agree with all these things by a landslide. and they do. there is no question that they want real tax reform. there is no question that they want jobs produced by our infrastructure. there is no question they want vets to get job preference and businesses to get tax credits for hiring vets and for hiring people out of work for more than six months. payroll tax deduction, and i think michael would agree with this, there is no way politically that republicans cannot extend the payroll tax deduction and in fact make it even broader as the president suggests while at the same time, refusing to at the same time, extending the bush tax cuts for the wealthiest americans. that would be political suicide.
