LOS ANGELES (CNS) - Gov. Gavin Newsom today announced the appointment of three new judges in Los Angeles and Orange counties.
Ian C. Fusselman, 53, of Pasadena, and Michelle L. Kazadi, 50, of Los Angeles, were appointed as Los Angeles County Superior Court judges, while Eric J. Wersching, 44, of Ladera Ranch, was selected for the bench in Orange County.
Fusselman who fills the vacancy created by the conversion of a court commissioner position has been a sole practitioner since 2019 and a mediator with ADR Services since 2018. He was formerly a partner at Thornes Bartolotta McGuire, where he worked from 2004 to 2018, and also worked as an associate at two other firms between 1998 and 2004. He was a lecturer of law at the USC School of Law from 2019 to 2021.
The American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 provides for health insurance
premium subsidies of 100% for eligible former employees from April 1,
2021 to Sept. 30, 2021, and a special enrollment period for previously
terminated employees to elect COBRA health insurance coverage with a
premium subsidy.
