Wyre Forest District Council. Worcestershire County Council. IT has been revealed that two bosses from the executive board of Wyre Forest District Council earned more than £100k last year. The top earner, the corporate director of community well-being and environment, took home £76,153, a pension of £20,7600 and compensation of £40,893. The figures have been released as part of The TaxPayers’ Alliance Town Hall Rich list which comprises of all UK council employees on £100,000 or more. Details for the employees of Wyre Forest District Council were undisclosed on the list. The chief executive earned £112,767 and a pension of £17,253. A Wyre Forest District Council spokesperson said “As has been the case for well over a decade, the council has only one employee whose salary exceeds £100k. The council set salaries for the chief executive and directors in 2009 and they have been increased since then only as a result of any annual national or local pay increa

When asked why salaries were so high, a Bromsgrove District Council spokesperson said, “because this salary is aligned to their job.”
