readiness among the missile defense forces in the region. yeah. so you could give us a sense of what steps have been taken since then, what has changed before and after this new direction? what has changed is we ve increased isr coverage in the yellow sea. and pay com has increased their ballistic missile defense readiness and i think you could understand why we wouldn t detail every bit of that effort. okay. on covid response which you briefed on on yesterday, the russians told the norwegian last week that they wouldn t send observers to exercise and we ve seen russian jets fly over swedish territory in the baltic sea so are the forces involved in coresponse on guard or worries about any aemt itted provocation or any other interference. we take force protection at a premium here. it is always a factor.

0 admiral and the general aren t working in in a very personal way with taliban authorities outside the airport. let me go another one on the phone. tara. thank you for doing this, john. yesterday the president mentioned also that he was calling upon the department to create contingency plans in case the number of americans and afghans haven t gotten out by the 31st. can you just explain kind of what the department is thinking about what its options might be to continue to get americans out after the 31st if they haven t made it to the airport by then? and then just to follow on jeff s question with afghans that aren t getting through, for those have discussions gone on with the taliban to maybe find some negotiation space for they ve said no more afghans can clear but there are 10,000 at the airport. something is happening behind the scenes helping some people get through. can you talk about that to some extent? i ll start with the last question first. kind of comes off of some
public. right now you have a layer of news media and universities bureaucrats and politicians who literally sit on the country and represent a power structure which is opposite of the american people. we ve been doing polling with jon mclaughlin with pay com issues in which any 5 percent rejection on the left, 85 percent they just don t care. the best example is whether or not you should have a photo id in order to vote. overwhelmingly supported by african-americans and latinos and everybody except the hard left. which understand they will be able to cheat and steal. so just try to run over the whole country and we will see what happens in this round but historically is kind of anti-
