LARNED – A Larned man has been charged with arson for burning a large American flag that belonged to a local business.
Jason Wayne Cauble, 37, arrested Tuesday by the Pawnee County Sheriff’s office on a warrant, appeared before Magistrate Judge Julie Cowell Thursday morning for a first appearance on the felony count, according to a release from Pawnee County Attorney Douglas W. McNett.
The arrest stemmed from a joint investigation by the Pawnee County Sheriff’s Department and the Larned Police Department into the burning of a 30-by-20-foot flag located at the Carr Auction and Realty Inc. building in Larned. The damage was discovered the morning of April 29.
