Sheffield game developer Sumo Group has acquired Polish studio PixelAnt Games for an initial cash consideration of £250,000.
Based in Wroclaw, PixelAnt - which was founded in July 2020 and has a team of 13 developers - will become Sumo Digital s 10th studio, and its first in mainland Europe.
Studio directors Pawel Rohleder and Adam Lasoń will continue to lead the team.
London-listed Sumo Group has paid an initial cash consideration of £250,000, with a further shares payment dependant on the results over the next two years.
Carl Cavers, chief executive at Sumo Group, said: Increasing headcount is a key pillar of our growth strategy and accessing new pools of high-quality talent is vital to the successful execution of that strategy.
