people in milwaukee are on the lookout for a lion on the loose. authoritieses are scrambling to find the creature. residents are on edge. craig melvin has the latest. reporter: look closely, could it be a lion hanging out in downtown milwaukee? kelly brooks didn t see one in his backyard. but he did see his neighbor s video. this is a real lion, something could have happens to me. city officials received more than 2 dozen 911 calls from folks claiming to see a lion. it s not a rig a dog with mange or a house cat, it s much larger. they examined several paw prints and conceded it s likely a mountain lion. how did it get here? officials concluded it was just
likely a large young mountain lion in his backyard come monday. among the evidence, you can see what appears to be, according to the dnr official a paw print from said mountain lion. the lion hasn t been seen since monday. look closely, could it be a lion happening out in downtown milwaukee. kevin brooks didn t see one, but he did see his neighbor s cell phone video. it was like, oh no this is a really on. something really could have happened to me. reporter: city officials received more than two dozen 911 calls from folks around northern milwaukee claiming to see a lion. it s definitely not a dog or a house cat. it s definitely much larger. reporter: wildlife officials examined several paw prints like
easter egg roll. but these are not hard boiled eggs, again like we had in our easter baskets. they re wooden. and there are five different ones. the first four are, you know traditional kind of festive spring colors and they have the signature of the president and first lady on them. but then there s a fifth. very cool. reporter: yeah. it actually has, i guess you call it the signature, the paw prints of beau and sunny who of course are the first dogs. this is a tradition that dates back to president reagan back in 1981. they started the signature of famous people, of celebrities, sports celebrities and some politicians. so this is continuing that tradition. and it s always fun to see the kids. i can tell you when i was coming in this morning, it s not something you see every day, little people with floppy ears on very excited to get into the white house. chris, looks like a great day for it too, right? reporter: it s the first, i think, really beautiful spring day that we have
cathy s murder and were eliminated as suspects. but police were still troubled by lisa s telephone calls to jeff on the afternoon of the murder. lisa said they were purely social. phone records proved that lisa made these calls from home. but jeff s cell phone records indicated jeff wasn t at work, as he claimed. we get the phone records, which showed he is down by that house. the phone towers are hitting off of phone towers closer to the house than they are where he claims to be. and investigators found another contradiction. jeff said his dog, bandit, was in a locked bedroom when he found his wife s body. but investigators found bloody paw prints in the bedroom. and the blood was cathy s. this meant the killer put the dog in the bedroom after cathy s
