RUSHVILLE — The Brazilian musical ensemble Paulo Padilha e Bando spent the past week in Rushville and performed a free public concert Thursday evening at The Princess Theatre as well
Catch the samba swing of Brazil with Paulo Padilha e Bando. Paulo’s music, humor, and lyrics will have you dancing all the way home! Presented as part of Arts Midwest World Fest, a partnership between Arts Midwest and Artspace 304, this all-ages performance is free and open to the public. A suggested donation of $10 to Artspace 304 will be accepted at the door. Please register online by April 30: artspace304.org/events/world-fest/.
While the concerts are free and offered virtually, the Jamestown Arts Center will be hosting the concerts free at their location over the lunch hour in sessions their calling “Lunch Listens.” Jepson says participants can bring their lunch and enjoy the concerts.
Today, the series continues with Paulo Padilha e Bando from Brazil.

The Arts Midwest World Fest is bringing the music of Israel, Brazil and Japan to people virtually all over the world at no charge this year.
But Sally Jeppson, gallery manager at The Arts Center, said not everyone has access to the internet, so The Arts Center decided to provide a place for people to come and safely view the Midwest World Fest performances as well, billing it as a “Lunch Listen”.
