A World Bank (WB) mission is currently in Honiara, providing technical support towards the implementation of the current USD$13 million health project, funded by WB through the Ministry of Finance and Treasury (MoFt) and managed and implemented by the Ministry of Health and Medical Services (MHMS) through its Project Management Unit (PMU).
In a courtesy meeting yesterday morning Capt. Henry Kim, commander of the Pacific Partnership Mission to the Solomon Islands, and Mrs. Pauline McNeil, Health Permanent Secretary, both highlighted the need for continued partnership and collaboration for better health care service for Solomon Islanders.
Australia’s Minister for Defense, Industry, International Development and the Pacific, Hon. Pat Conroy MP and his delegation, met with Solomon Islands Health Minister Hon. Dr. Culwick Togamana and officials which included Permanent Secretary Mrs. Pauline McNeil, Deputy Secretary Dr Gregory Jilini and Director Planning and Policy Mr. Ivan Ghemu.
