Plans for 61 new flats and houses in the centre of Wilton

Crow Lane plans AN APPLICATION has been submitted to build 61 houses in Wilton. The plans, put forward by Bellway Homes and E V Naish Ltd, are for a site on Crow Lane, as well as West Street and North Street. A mix of detached, semi-detached and terraced houses are proposed, including 4 one-bedroom apartments, 15 two-bedroom apartments, 4 one-bedroom houses, 14 two-beds, 20 three-beds, and 4 four-beds. Plans also include two commercial units, one retail unit and 111 parking spaces. The planning statement says the site has a current use of industrial manufacturing, but that the existing buildings are no longer suitable for this use and require substantial investment in order to sustain ongoing operation, even in the short term .

1 5 tonnes of rubbish collected during litter pick around Wilton

Bags of rubbish 1.5 TONNES of rubbish has been collected during a litter pick around Wilton and Whiteparish. It comes as Wiltshire Council embark on a nine-week litter picking programme targeted at the A303 and A36. Pauline Church, Wiltshire Councillor for Wilton and Lower Wylye Valley, posted on Facebook to say that week six of the major routes litter pick saw the council team working on the A350 from Sedgehill to the border, then onto Wilton from A36 junction and Newton Lane to Moor Lane, Whiteparish. The crews collected 120 bags of litter which works out to around 1.5 Tonnes. The project began in March, and on the 5 mile stretch of road between Amesbury and Cholderton, Wiltshire Council collected 132 bags of litter and 17 tyres.
