OXFORD â Granville County Public Schools officials have downsized their central office staff to save money.
A special school board meeting on Tuesday saw members approve the elimination of an assistant superintendent position, the reduction from 16 to 12 of the number of director-level salaried positions in the central office, a restructuring of the entire Curriculum & Instruction and Student Services Department and a shift of several district-based positions to school-based positions
The board also agreed to the use of grant funding to pay for school-based positions.
