The first doses of the COVID-19 vaccine were administered today to Community Memorial Healthcare clinical care staff members, according to a news release from CMH. Receiving the first vaccines simultaneously were medical chief of staff Dr. Shane Thoreson, Dr. John Haefele, Dr. Jacob Nagely, medical laboratory technician Carrie Schmitz and nurse Ali Minge. “I am incredibly thankful to have received the COVID vaccine,” Thoreson said. “It has brought me a huge sense of relief and hopefulness for the future – that we are one step closer to bringing this pandemic to an end.” Vaccine coordinators were Paula Winkler, director of pharmacy, and pharmacist Emily Dunsing.
