APPLETON (NBC 26) â Masks have become something many of us haven t lived without over the past year. As a part of our Celebrating Volunteers series with the Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region, here s a woman who has helped sew together a community during a time of need.
After retiring two years ago, Vicki Vogel never thought her 40-plus years in sewing and design would lead her to making masks for the community. But when the pandemic hit, that s just what she knew, needed to be done. Vicki actually got a head-start on making masks for a healthcare friend in Pennsylvania. So when the pandemic hit the Fox Valley, she was ready.

NEENAH, WI (WTAQ) – ThedaCare is launching a survey for everyone in Northeast Wisconsin to get a better understanding of overall health and well-being in the community.
The purpose and goal of the survey is fairly straightforward.
“To understand how people are doing in terms of their physical health, mental health, financial health, and social connectedness – because we know that has a huge impact on their overall health and well being,” said ThedaCare Director of Community Health Improvement, Paula Morgen. “That combination of those factors can help us really pinpoint which people in the community are thriving or struggling or suffering then we can focus our energies that community health efforts on those who most need help.”
