John Curp's salary will be about $10,000 biweekly, equal to about $265,000 a year. The contract includes a provision that if/when a new city manager is chosen, they will offer Curp a senior management level position with the city that pays at least 75% of his salary as interim city manager.
"I realize that public officials right now are picking and choosing their battles, and this has become a big battle," said Grant Mussman, medical director for the Cincinnati Health Department. "But in terms of things that you can do that are effective, there's not a lot that's a lot better than masking."
"Today we have a historically diverse and cohesive set of council members," newly sworn-in Mayor Aftab Pureval said Tuesday. "Today we have a mandate from the public to execute on our bold vision. And today in Cincinnati, we have a coalition to get it done."
