Alberta Health Minister Tyler Shandro says 3,900 Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccines will arrive in the province on Tuesday, with 25,250 more doses arriving next week. By the end of December, 29,000 health-care workers will have received the vaccine. Vaccinations begin Wednesday.
“It’s the first real ray of light in the dark night that our health-care professionals have lived through for 10 months now,” Shandro said. “It’s not over. These next few weeks are going to be the toughest yet but relief is on the way and it’s starting this week.”

Twenty-nine thousand health-care workers in Alberta are set to receive doses of the COVID-19 vaccine by the end of December, the province’s health minister announced Monday.
Tyler Shandro said the first 3,900 doses of the Pfizer BioNTech vaccine will be received on Tuesday and another 25,350 doses will be received next week.
Alberta reported a record 1,887 new cases of COVID-19 on Monday and another 15 deaths.
