baltimore, new york have been able to adjust and make a mid-course correction. and as you suggested, they simply don t. they double down on their policies. and so you ve got someone like paul valas saying we have to rethink the way we deploy the police and prosecutions just as eric adams did in new york when he was running against progressives. he ran on a pro-cop platform as well. the big question, paul, is whether even if someone like valas gets elected in in as adams did in new york, they can have any success while their city councils and so forth or the teachers unions are is still controlled by progressives. getting elected is just the first step. paul: well, colin, address that point, that question by dan. do you think he has a chance to change chicago and the trend there if he does win? i think so. look, chicago s in a particularly tough period, but it hasn t always been like this at all. and i think what you have to
