NEW CUMBERLAND A grand jury convening in Hancock County this week has issued indictments on 14 individuals, including three who are facing multiple sexual abuse and assault charges, according to information released Wednesday by county Prosecuting Attorney Steven Dragisich.
Among those indicted was Willard Gardner, 52, who currently is in custody at the West Virginia Northern Regional Jail.
Gardner is facing 10 counts of sexual abuse by a parent; 10 counts of first degree sexual assault; two counts of displaying obscene matter; three counts of use of obscene matter with intent to seduce a minor and 10 counts of incest.
Also currently housed in the Northern Regional Jail is Daniel Knight, 37, who was indicted on eight counts of sexual abuse by a custodian; two counts of first degree sexual abuse; six counts of second degree sexual assault and six counts of third degree sexual assault.

Newly appointed directors
Newly elected to serve on the board is Paul Stubbs, who will represent the Gold members. Paul is currently a Director of AI & Innovation Marketing for the Microsoft Business AI team, focusing on autonomous systems, such as vehicles, drones, industrial robotics, and simulators, including working with the Microsoft AirSim team. Paul has been active in the community since Microsoft joined as a Gold member in 2019.
