Cricket West Indies (CWI) have approved in principle the tour of Bangladesh, subject to the finalisation of medical and logistical details.
The approval was made following a recommendation from CWI’s Medical Advisory Committee (MAC), having received a detailed report from the pre-tour visit of Bangladesh by CWI Director and Member of the CWI and ICC MAC, Dr Mansingh, and Security Manager, Paul Slowe.

ST JOHN’S, Antigua – The Board of Directors of Cricket West Indies (CWI) has approved in principle the tour of Bangladesh, subject to the finalisation of the medical and logistical details within the tour’s Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).
A CWI media release said, “The approval in principle was made following a recommendation from CWI’s Medical Advisory Committee (MAC), having received a detailed report from the pre-tour visit of Bangladesh by CWI director and member of the CWI and ICC MAC, Dr (Akshai) Mansingh and security manager, Paul Slowe.”
The West Indies cricket team are to play two Tests and three ODIs in Bangladesh.
The team is set to arrive in Bangladesh on January 10 and commence the ODI series on January 20.
The Test series has been trimmed down to two matches from the original three Tests, with the first Test set to begin in Chatogram on February 3.
Cricket West Indies, on Tuesday, reported that its Board of Directors had approved in principle the tour of Bangladesh.
