Five veterans honored with Quilts of Valor by: Sophia Walsh - Jul. 1, 2021 Top News Five veterans were honored Thursday for their service during a Quilts of Valor ceremony at the Lincoln County Historical Museum. The Heartland Nebraska Quilts of Valor ceremony was held under the museum’s gazebo, where family and friends gathered to honor the veterans and their service. The first to be honored was Lawrence Mora Jr., who served in the U.S Navy. Mora enlisted in the Navy in 1985 and attended boot camp in San Diego, Calif. before attending the Radioman A school, where he graduated in 1986.

There were forges and grist mills there in the late 1700s through the late 1800s.
