Hospitalisations moving in right direction as Covid-19 patients & ICU admissions fall again in reason to be hopeful

According to the latest HSE records, 475 patients are battling the virus in hospital, down from 498 yesterday morning. 4 Covid hospitalisations have slowly fallen below 500 for the first time in 2021 this weekCredit: PA:Press Association 4 4 4 HSE Chief Paul Reid said the falling patient numbers are a reason to be hopeful Credit: PA:Press Association The number of Covid patients in intensive care units has also fallen from 115 to 112, however 85 of these patients are seriously ill and on ventilators. Last night health bosses recorded the lowest number of new cases since mid-December with 359.
