The overnight hours, well see the rain changeover to snow. And thats going to linger into the thursday morning commute. Heres a live look outside this morning, foggy conditions throughout center city. You can see the foggy conditions out there. As we switch over the radar, we have a large area of moisture that is heading our way. Temperaturewise, we are at freezing, 35 degrees in philadelphia. 34 in pottstown. 34 in allentown. 33 in mount pocano. Dover is at 40 degrees. We will see the lower 40s by 3 00 p. M. With rain continuing. But the first alert goes into effect this afternoon. Right now it looks like the snow is going to be heavier to southern philadelphia. And really throughout the rest of today. Theres a live look at cape may with slick roads. Rain continuing to come down but our temperatures will head into the 40s for today. So it wont feel quite as bad. But our first alert goes into effect tonight lasting until thursday. The rain is expected to change over to snow messing up the thursday morning commute. We are tracking a change over as we have had a long day of snowfall totals going down. The models disagree but for the most part we are definitely going to see the rain changing over to sleet and snow. So either way its going to be messy. Right now conditions show the rain moving through philadelphia norristown and trenton. Allentown, reading, more moisture is on the way. So heading throughout the rest of today, keep the umbrella handy. You wont need them until after 10 00 to 11 00. Then we start to see the changeover from rain to sleet to snow. Well start with bill henley and the first alert forecast. The warmer temperatures we saw yesterday are gone. It got cold again overnight. Yesterday was a beauty but they plummeted overnight with clear skies to set the stage for a cold morning. Thats what we have this morning. But we have a dry morning that will stay dry through the day. It is a first alert weather day for what will be moving in this afternoon. And well start with snow during the afternoon hours. And it will change over to some sleet and freezing rain before becoming all rain. It has made for hazardous travel during the afternoon and evening commute. The radar showing things are quiet right now, but to the west you can see the snow is already falling into ohio and to points west. Our photographer just got to the scene and you can see this vehicle here completely on its side. We are told this is a twovehicle accident. The one vehicle clearly overturned on hunting park avenue and north front street. You can see by the lights out there, police are on the scene. So this intersection is blocked off right now. You can take Second Street or even laverne street to get around it. Route 73 at 295, we are looking clear in both directions. No accidents or delays on 295. And 42 your drive time is four to five minutes between the Atlantic City expressway and the walt whitman bridge. A good start on 42. All the area bridges are clear r
